Cookie and storage notice

This page describes how Elmiva Vault uses browser storage and third-party scripts in normal operation. It is technical documentation, not legal advice.

What we do not do

  • We do not use advertising cookies or third-party ad networks.
  • We do not run marketing trackers or affiliate pixels.
  • We do not sell consent data.

Necessary storage and cookies

These support sign-in, abuse prevention, and core product behavior. They are not gated behind optional analytics consent.

Supabase (authentication)

Vault uses Supabase for authentication. Supabase sets cookies and/or uses browser storage to maintain your session (for example after Google or email sign-in). Those mechanisms are controlled by Supabase and your browser; refer to Supabase documentation for current cookie names and lifetimes.

Cloudflare Turnstile

Where Turnstile is enabled, Cloudflare may set or read data needed to validate the challenge. That processing is governed by Cloudflare’s policies.

Stripe

When you open billing or checkout flows, Stripe may set cookies or use storage required for fraud prevention, session continuity, and payment processing. Stripe’s own documentation describes those artifacts.

First-party operational storage

Vault stores non-sensitive preferences and identifiers in localStorage (and occasionally sessionStorage) for things such as: theme, consent choices, workspace navigation helpers, and optional UI diagnostics enabled for administrators. This is first-party data for application behavior, not advertising profiles.

Optional analytics

If you opt in to analytics in the in-app cookie preferences, we may load Google Analytics 4 (gtag.js) and related first-party cookies (for example _ga / session identifiers as defined by Google) to measure aggregate usage. No analytics scripts are loaded until you consent.

If you reject analytics or revoke consent later, we stop loading those scripts on subsequent visits (and revoke flows reload the app so measurement does not continue in that session).

Changing your choice

Use Cookie preferences in the app footer or on the sign-in screen, or the banner when it appears, to update analytics consent.
